Do your solutions support student-privacy requirements like FERPA?+
We help you select vendors and configurations aligned to student-privacy obligations — including content filtering, access controls, and data protection relevant to frameworks like FERPA and CIPA. Compliance is ultimately a shared responsibility between your institution and your vendors, and part of our role is making sure the vendors we match you with can support those obligations.
Does Jones Blacksmith charge schools for consultation?+
No. As a channel partner, our consultation, vendor matching, and coordination are free — we're compensated by the vendors in our network. You pay the providers directly, typically at rates equal to or better than approaching them on your own.
Can you support multi-campus districts and university systems?+
Yes. Multi-campus education is a core focus. We coordinate connectivity, voice, and security across schools, administrative buildings, and satellite campuses — sequencing deployments around academic calendars to minimize disruption, all tracked through one project plan.
Can deployments be scheduled around the school year?+
Yes — and we recommend it. Wherever possible we sequence installations and cutovers during breaks, summer, or off-peak periods so classrooms aren't disrupted. Your account team builds the rollout plan around your academic calendar.
We already work with some vendors. Do we have to replace everything?+
Not at all. Many institutions bring us in to fill specific gaps or take over coordination of existing contracts. We assess what's working, identify where upgrades or consolidation add value, and build a transition plan that respects your current systems and renewal timelines.
